This soldering iron tip cleaner cleans your soldering iron tips without water! It is made of coils of brass, which are softer than the tip plating yet harder than the oxidation that forms on the tip. The tightly twisted coils of brass scrub the oxidation off of the tip of your solder iron without cooling off the tip like a wet sponge will. Just insert the hot iron tip into the coils of brass with a twisting motion and twist it back out, repeat as necessary.
