Robot MarketPlace - RCE220 RC Small Dual Relay Switch

Switch two things on and off with one transmitter stick! Using only one channel output from your RC receiver, you can drive two independent motors, contactors, or pneumatic/hydraulic solenoids. Great for remotely-operating some of our larger solenoids or relays. Plus, a simple wiring configuration also converts this to a mechanical H-bridge which is perfect for running a single linear actuator or motor in both forward/off/reverse.

When used with an actuator, optional inputs from limit switches permit you to arrest motion in either direction. Silver cadmium oxide relay contacts. Maximum motor/coil load: 12 amps at 30 volts DC inductive.

Fault detection safely switches off both relays if receiver signal is lost.

Well Impressed

Excellent bit of kit. I Tried for ages to locate something similar here in the UK (i.e. Robbe, Graupner + searching the web). Couldn't find one with a suitable power rating or that operated in forward-off-reverse mode. Didn't have to pay any import duties on it so the price(inc postage)was really good.
The relays are really fast and having the 2 onboard limit microswitch capability was even better. I'm using to control/limit the motorfor a screw actuator that lowers and raises the ramp on a 1:15th scale landing craft kit from KMB (Germany)

Dual Relay Switch

I love this little device. It works great! And it's easy to hookup. The soldering pads are big enough to where I didn't have to worry about causing a short circuit due to molten solder.

It's great, BUT...

I really liked the RCE220. It performed as advertised. I had planned to use it control shutter and video record functions via remote. It outperformed other solutions because with this I could have multiple actions on the same channel. BUT, the application is on a Tri-copter and the RCE220 was heavier than I wanted. I had to remove it and opt for a much lighter (one function per channel) option. If this could be repackaged with lighter low amp relays and lighter all around, I would buy and recommed more to the growing Arial Photography community.

Simple and efficient

Well designed part, down to the simple details that make a difference like the limit switch inputs and LED feedback. Used it for a mechanism that needed simple forward and reverse action. Works great.
