The Piranha gearmotor is a small, lightweight motor specifically designed for direct-to-wheel drive systems on 12-15 pound robots.

These strong, lightweight and reliable gearboxes are priced to fit your budget, and come fully assembled with a 550 Johnson motor. The gearbox is compatible with all 540 and 550 sized motors, so if you want, you could use the same gearbox with another motor of your choice! The 1/2" diameter output shaft is supported by dual ABEC-1 ball bearings and is keyed with a 1/8" keyway, ready for your wheel, sprocket, pulley, etc.

Mounting holes are pre-drilled on top and bottom of the gearbox with 8-32 thread.
