We use the BH31 to power an electric reel designed for anglers with disabilities. The motor has good speed and power for our needs. It can withstand a stall for 15 seconds without burning up. The output shaft is off center making it easy to tension a drive belt. We have made a couple dozen prototypes that will get a serious workout this summer(2011).

I found these motors a little bit slow but not bad considering i was using a 2inch wheel also some robot applications don't require a lot of speed so these motors are a great choice. Very high torque and an extremely low price.

This is a good price for such a motor.
The gear is a little noisy, but the motor works well

Good, affordable motor

The motor works well for robots around 20 lbs of weight. However do expect your gearbox to give way once you start hitting the stall limits.

Good delivery, insufficient info

Robot Marketplace did a great job of getting these motors to me quickly when I needed them. The motors worked well, but the information provided wasn't really enough for my purposes. I ended up burning out two of the four that I bought. After getting the motors, I was able to look up the complete data sheet on the manufacturer's website, which informed me that the running torque was much lower than I had anticipated.

Overall, the motor performed as expected, so I can't complain about that. Just wish the complete specs had been posted on the purchase page.
