All-metal planetary gearbox with metal gears. 62:1 is a great ratio of speed and torque for most robot applications.

I'm using two of these in a 3-lb bot for Robot Battles 2011 at DragonCon. Coupled with 2-7/8" banebots wheels and powered by an 11.1-volt battery they seem fairly zippy.

Only problem I've had so far is one motor's gearbox fell apart due to vibration (caused by my spinner weapon).

Wow!!

Great little gearmotor. Very powerful for its size. Just about right for speed with the 1-7/8" banebot wheels. Can be made faster with larger wheels but great for normal control speeds.

Would be nice to get the mounting bolt pattern and dimensions.

Works Well

The motor was used in a 4 wheel drive battlebot. It has plenty of torque but was a bit slow for us, other robots with more speed were able to get around us. But for its size and weight very powerful. One thing I would like to see is paper or thin plastic mounting templates furnised with the motors to aid in installation. It would help in laying out the mounting pattern for the motor.

Perfect

This is the motor that I use in my 3lb Beetleweight robots. I crank it up to 14.4V and it works fine. Great speed on 1.25" wheels. Very durable. I've had to tighten the screws after every few fights though, thats the only problem I've had. Only failure I've had was because of direct damage from a spinner robot. Will continue to use these for a LONG time.
