I am blown away by how powerful this motor is. I took the gearbox apart and noticed, as Joel did below, that there is one nylon gear (a fail-safe?). Unfortunately for my project, this motor makes a loud noise like a high-pitched whine. Hopefully I can use it on something else in the future where it can be in a box or something.

That's what I was looking for!

I was looking everywhere in my country for a small gear motor with a powerful and high torque, to move my homemade video camera dolly with 11 lbs camera on it. BUT NOWAY.! There is no market in Kuwait selling these type of motors. I searched on the internet and the answer was, "The Robot MarketPlace". This motor is realy what I needed, I powered it with only 6V battery, and I got the job!

Do not overload

This motor is very powerful for its size, but I blew up the 4th stage trying to load test it. I was running it over the recommended voltage though so it was probably my fault. I ordered 3 more since they are so cool.

friggin powerful

This particular gearbox is super powerful for its size. Overall, it's a great package if you don't take it apart. The gears are a nightmare to try to put back together if you're not careful. Also, one set of the gears is made with nylon, and they pretty much were rendered useless after I played around with some different motor options. If you're careful with the gearbox and make the motor is mounted properly, you should be okay though.

I ordered several Gearmotors. All products were excellent, shipped on time and performed per spec. I will continue to purchase product, as needed, from the Robot Marketplace.
