Hello everyone - this is Tony Buchignani and Dan Danknick. As many of you know we've both worked very hard for the past three years to make the coolest robots we could to compete in Robot Wars, and we have five trophies between us to show for our effort. In addition we both have websites chock-full of useful information to make *you* successful in your robot projects. So we're writing here to fill you in on our latest work, promoting robotic combat and maintaining a place of dialog for all of us in the fighting robot community.

The two of us, in negotion with Robot Wars, have worked out a deal that will permit this Forum to continue in it's present form (just without those annoying pictures to the right at startup!)In addition we intend to actively work at providing an enormous amount of content to keep things interesting.

Our agreement permits uninterrupted discussions regarding all forms of robotic combat, not just the Robot Wars event, after which this Forum was named. We think that the example was proven quite well in the recent post from Bob Pitzer about BotBash'4. As moderators we will not act as censors in any way, except to enforce the Host agreement that Delphi requires during Forum creation: "Forums may not be used to post or transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would harm Delphi's business interests, constitute a criminal offense, violate rights of others, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law."

So that's where we stand right now. We both believe that there is an enormous future in this sport and that this is the place where the foundations will continue to be lain. We're glad to be part of the community and it's our pleasure to offer you our services.

Regards,
Tony & Dan
